Megan Elliott

Owner & Founder of Centre Stage Academy of dance

Principal & Head Choreographer of Centre Stage

Megan founded Centre Stage in 2009, after choreographing her first pantomime the year before at the age of 16, whilst studying dance GCSE at Glossopdale. Megan then went on to graduate from The Manchester College with a Triple Distinction BTEC in dance.

Since opening, the dance academy has grown strength to strength, moving to their own studio in 2010. Shortly after, Centre Stage started to compete around the UK & Europe, becoming European Champions in 2014,2016 & 2017 in Germany & Paris.

After Megan finished her professional dance training at Phil Winstons Stage School & Renaissance Arts, Northern Ballet and graduated from Staffordshire University with her PGCE, Megan then continued to develop her teaching skills, becoming head of Urban Arts at The Manchester College and The Arden University. Centre Stage then outgrew their premises and moved to their new studios, at Woolley Bridge- Hadfield.

Over the years, Megan has continued to develop and expand her teacher training and experience and qualified in Yoga (300hr YTT), Aerial Hoop, Aerial Silks & Acrobatic arts and continues to offer such classes at the Academy. Her recent Acrobatics team became the Elite World Acro champions 2022 & 2023

Alongside her teaching work, Megan continues to work as a professional Dancer/Choreographer/ model and dance judge in the industry, working with a number of agencies which have supported her in professional contracts around the UK, Los Angeles & India. Megan has created relations and contracts with various companies, charities and local communities who she continues to work with on a regular basis. In her career, she has worked alongside stars such as Tinchy Stryder, Lemar, SClub, Nicky Clarke,Hrithik Roshan and worked for well-known companies such as KEY 103, Coronation Street, Scuzz TV, John Lewis, Asos, MTV, Adidas , Nike & Virgin Active.

Josh 

Teacher of Centre Stage Academy of Dance

Josh has been delivering Street Dance classes at Centre Stage since 2016, after offering workshops to our European champion team T.I.8. Josh has since been a huge part of the many Street dance successes Centre Stage have had in both team & Solo/duet categories.

Josh is a Professional Dancer, Choreographer & Teacher whom is represented by DanceFusion Agency and based on the outskirts of Manchester. Josh has trained in various styles including Commercial, Urban Dance, House Dancing, and Contemporary fusion. During his professional career, he has also danced on TV (Channel 4) and worked for companies such as Boohoo, BooHooman, MTV, Virgin and many more

After Graduating from Pendleton College with Distinctions in BTEC in dance , Josh continued to develop his choreographic skills by delivering workshops to surrounding dance schools and currently runs the Urban syllabus at The Manchester College. Within his ten years of teaching, he has also continued to develop his own skills and trained in many prestigious dance studios across the world- including The Millenium Dance Complex (Los angeles) & Global Dance Studio (Amsterdam).



Niamh

Teacher of Centre Stage Academy of Dance


Niamh got introduced to the Centre Stage team at the age of 14 when she started assisting in her dads Gymnastics classes back in 2013. Being an Elite Gymnast with extensive training herself, Niamh soon became qualified through a fitness program to run weekly dance bounce fitness classes at Centre Stage all whilst studying her Sports Leadership Level 1 & 2 at School. 

Graduating with her BTEC Sports and Exercise Science  and Fitness instruction coaching, Niamh was soon to find her passion in the Aerial arts. Since starting her Aerial journey, Niamh has performed alongside the CS team numerous times and has worked in connection with Hilton Hotel, MTV Staying Alive foundation,Freight Island Mcr, Club Impossible & Bez from Happy Mondays!

  In 2017, Niamh played a huge part in introducing Fly High Fitness Aerial Company to the local community and has since led our team of Aerialists to huge successes and breathtaking performances. Niamh continues to deliver Aerial Arts exclusively to Centre Stage and has shaped our Aerial community to what it is today. Alongside teaching Aerial, with her extensive list of sports, gymnastics and fitness qualifications- Niamh is also one of Centre Stages Acrobatic Arts Syllabus instructors offering 121 lessons to our students.




Nat

Teacher of Centre Stage Academy of Dance

Nat was introduced to Centre Stage in the year 2016 and was soon to join in with training, competing and performing with the adult team herself. After graduating college with a BTEC dance degree in 2007, Nat continued to study her ISTD Honours in supreme award for Latin and Ballroom. 

Soon after joining the Centre Stage team where Nat found her passion for Acro, she gained qualifications alongside other members of our team in Acrobatic Arts. Nat is now one of the regular Acro teachers where she continues to lead soloists, duos and teams to acrobatic success. Her current team Harmony have become regional champions in 2019, 2021 and 2022 with breathtaking routines including high Acrobatic standards. Nat continues to inspire and develop our Acro community at Centre Stage and also offers 121 lessons.



Grace 

Teacher of Centre Stage Academy of Dance

Grace started dancing at Centre Stage in 2011 at the age of 4 where she trained in street dance, jazz, contemporary and musical theatre classes. In 2016, Grace became the Disneys European Champion in Paris where she bagged Golds in her solos as well as two group pieces. 

Grace began assisting in 2019 and progressed into a full time teaching assistant in many classes weekly, including aerial arts and later, in 2022, became an official staff member. Her first team became Elite champions in their premier competition in the 2023 UK Championships. 

Furthermore, Grace is also a CS Entertainment Performer and singer, which has provided her with multiple opportunities and experiences. This includes credits such as Fit As A Fiddle Festival, Virgin Active, and Ohana Parties, as well as many other local and professional performances, with lots of exciting new projects in the works. She is very proud to have individually choreographed the Christmas Pantomime at Partington Theatre in December 2022, and follow in Megan's footsteps.

Centre Stage has always been huge part of Grace's life and she is so proud to be a staff member here where she can help the younger generation develop skills needed in todays industry.
