Rules and Regulations

⚫️Customer Incidents⚫️

Aggressive, abusive or anti-social behaviour is not tolerated from customers or students in any part of the premises or at any time, whether toward Centre Stage staff, visitors or other Dance School customers or students. The Dance School is only one part of our organisation and therefore we ask that you remember that the studio is a workplace for many different people. Please conduct yourselves in an appropriate manner and respect the staff, all visitors and policies at all times. All customer incidents will be reported and investigated accordingly.

Any customer incident reported to management may result in their membership being suspended, with the possibility of being fully withdrawn from the Dance School. Serious incidents may result in immediate withdrawal from the Dance School.

It is vital that students arrive in time for doors opening. Those arriving late for class may miss a safe warm up and important information and impede the learning of others. Please contact the studio should you be late for drop off or collection.

Regular attendance is extremely important particularly for competition students . If students do not attend on a regular basis, then the development of the class and the individual student will be affected. Students' attendance will be monitored as they prepare for their competitions and shows, and those who fail to attend classes and additional lessons may be withdrawn. We regret that it is not possible to make up missed classes by attending another class for which you are not registered for.

Pupils are expected to behave in an orderly, civilised and well-mannered way and to show respect to their teachers, assistants and other students when attending Centre Stage Academy of Dance. Failure to comply with the rules and regulations may result in withdrawal following our traffic light behaviour system.

It is extremely important that students arrive dressed and ready for class in full Dance School uniform in order to be able to work correctly and safely in class, and to present a neat and elegant appearance. Dance School tracksuits can be purchased from the shop and are suitable to wear to and from classes and for class warm up. All students (if hair length permits) should have their hair neatly tied back or in a headband for short hair.

Should there be a need to change clothing during the course of their class, Centre Stage staff will assist wherever necessary with getting students changed in a safe environment. Students will only change in the designated changing areas in the presence of other students or teachers of the same gender, and never alone with one adult. Please contact the Principal directly to express any concerns.

⚫️Mobile phones⚫️

The use of mobile phones in the studio is strictly prohibited unless requested by a member of staff. In the past, people have used apps such as FaceTime and Snapchat which leads to concerns about privacy. Phones must remain in the students dance bags.

⚫️Personal Property⚫️

Students should make sure that they keep their valuable personal items in their dance bags at all times and ensure that they collect them after class. We cannot be held responsible if items go missing.

As per our Terms and Conditions, your memberships must be paid before your first class of each term. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal. Memberships are paid 12 months of the year, regardless of closures on a pro rata basis worked out over a 42 week year.
