Meet our team of incredible teaching assistants and student helpers! 

Centre Stage would not be able to deliver the standard of our lessons without the help from our dedicated and passionate team of teaching assistants. Our teaching assistants work hard in supporting the teacher to ensure all students needs are met and allow us to offer more personalised and 121 tuition time within a community class. Our teaching assistants hold current DBS, First Aid & Safeguarding certificates.

Our student helpers undertake the NextGen Coaching Collective Student Helper Programme, a structured, CPD-certified training pathway designed to develop the next generation of coaches and educators. Students progress through practical and theory-based training while gaining supervised, hands-on experience alongside Centre Stage's qualified teaching team. 

Kieya  
Current Teaching Assistant

Kieya joined Centre Stage Academy of Dance in 2020, bringing with her a strong classical dance background. She was invited to join Centre Stage's elite Contemporary team, Subliminal, where she went on to become a UK Contemporary Champion with the team for three consecutive years.

During her time at Centre Stage, Kieya has gained valuable performance experience on prestigious stages including Sadler's Wells Theatre in London, as well as working with The Lowry Theatre, Salford, embracing opportunities to perform, develop and connect with industry professionals.

Kieya later progressed to become part of our Student Teaching Assistant team, supporting our teaching faculty each week across Contemporary, Aerial and Tots Acro classes. She also assists with rehearsals and helps prepare students for upcoming performances and competitions under the direction of the Teacher.

With our youngest students in particular, Kieya brings a kind, patient and nurturing approach, helping children feel comfortable, confident and encouraged as they begin their Centre Stage journey. She continues to develop her own experience while working closely alongside our qualified teaching team.

Grace
Seasonal Teaching assistant

Grace trained with Centre Stage Academy of Dance for 15 years, developing into a versatile dancer across Jazz, Street Dance and musical theatre. Her broad training provided a strong foundation in the versatility required for Musical Theatre and live performance.

A talented triple-threat performer, Grace has achieved numerous theatre awards across singing, dancing and acting throughout her training. She has continued to develop her stagecraft at university, taking part in theatrical productions as both a performer and director, further expanding her experience beyond performance into creative direction.

In 2026, Grace took on the role of Head of Dance at Camp America in New York giving her further experience in leading, choreographing and delivering dance to young people in an international setting.

Alongside her passion for performance, Grace is currently completing a Law degree at university, demonstrating the breadth of her interests and ambitions.

Grace maintains a strong connection with Centre Stage and returns as a Seasonal Dance & Performance Coach during university breaks and selected events. She continues to support our students through teaching, performing and directing, as well as bringing her natural confidence and stage presence to hosting Centre Stage events.

Having grown up within the academy, Grace continues to bring her energy, creativity and performance experience back to the community that helped begin her journey.

Lottie
Seasonal Teaching Assistant 

Lottie joined Centre Stage Academy of Dance at the age of 12 and has since gained extensive experience through performances, competitions and professional opportunities. Her credits include work with Virgin Active, Fit as a Fiddle Festival and Freight Island, alongside numerous Centre Stage productions and events.

As a member of Centre Stage's elite Acro team, Lottie achieved Championship titles in both 2022 and 2023, developing a strong technical and performance background throughout her years at the academy.

In 2020, Lottie began volunteering as a Teaching Assistant as part of her Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards. She continued in the role beyond her awards, supporting younger students in class and developing valuable experience in coaching, encouragement and student development.

Lottie is now studying Sports Physiotherapy at university, further developing her knowledge of the body, movement and physical performance. Despite moving away for her studies, she remains an important part of the Centre Stage family and returns during university holidays to support classes, rehearsals and events whenever she can.

Having progressed from student to competitor and Teaching Assistant, Lottie is a fantastic example of the long-lasting relationships and sense of community we aim to create at Centre Stage.

George
Seasonal Teaching Assistant  

George joined Centre Stage Academy of Dance at the age of seven, beginning his dance journey as a member of the all-boys Street Dance crew. From an early age, he demonstrated exceptional commitment and performance ability, achieving numerous Gold awards at competitions across the UK. Expanding his training beyond Street Dance, George has also achieved success in Contemporary and became a UK Contemporary Champion with his team 3 consecutive years. 

In 2021, George joined Centre Stage's Student Assistant Programme, developing his coaching and leadership skills alongside the teaching team. He later took on a coaching role leading anteam of dancers to competitive successes.  

George is now studying Dance full-time at university, continuing to develop his technical, creative and performance experience. He remains closely connected to Centre Stage, returning during university holidays and periods of study leave to teach and support classes, while continuing to train, perform and compete as part of Centre Stage's teams when hes back.  

Having progressed from a seven-year-old student to competitor, champion and coach, George represents the long-lasting relationships we strive to build at Centre Stage — providing young people with opportunities to grow, develop and ultimately inspire the next generation of dancers following in their footsteps.

Chloe
Seasonal Teaching assistant

Chloe has been part of Centre Stage Academy of Dance since 2008, growing up within the academy and progressing from a young student to an accomplished competitive dancer and teaching asssistant.

Throughout her time at Centre Stage, Chloe trained and competed as part of our advanced Street and Contemporary teams. She has achieved numerous successes at competitions and championships across the UK, developing a strong technical and performance background through years of training, performances and professional opportunities around the UK

As Chloe progressed through the academy, she developed a passion for teaching and began taking greater responsibility within our younger classes. She went on to deliver our sylabus to Contemporary and Street tots, nurturing some of Centre Stage's youngest dancers and successfully preparing them for performances, gradings and competitions, while her supportive approach has helped young dancers develop confidence, independence and a love of performing.

Chloe is now beginning an exciting new chapter, undertaking full-time professional training at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, where she will continue to develop as a dancer, performer and creative artist.

Although studying away from home, Chloe remains an important part of the Centre Stage family and will return as a Seasonal Dance Coach during university holidays and selected events, sharing her developing professional knowledge and experience with the next generation of Centre Stage dancers.

Her journey from young student to competitor, coach and professional dance student reflects the long-term pathways we are proud to create for young people at Centre Stage.

Lily 
Seasonal Teaching assistant 

Lily joined Centre Stage Academy of Dance later in her dance journey, quickly becoming an important member of the academy and developing a particular passion and talent for Street and contemporary Dance.

Throughout her time at Centre Stage, Lily has trained, performed and competed as part of our advanced teams, gaining valuable industry experience across competitions, showcases and performance opportunities. Her commitment, individuality and strong performance style have made her a fantastic role model for our younger dancers.

As her experience developed, Lily progressed into coaching and has worked particularly closely with our next generation of Street dancers. She has supported students through weekly training, choreography and competition preparation, helping younger dancers develop their confidence, performance skills and individual style while achieving success as part of their teams.

Lily is now taking the next exciting step in her professional journey, moving to London to undertake full-time professional training at Urdang, where she will continue developing across dance and performance.

Despite moving away to pursue her training, Lily remains part of the Centre Stage family and will return as a Seasonal Dance Coach during training breaks and selected events, bringing new knowledge, industry experience and inspiration back to our students.

Her progression from Centre Stage dancer to coach and professional performer in training represents exactly what we hope to encourage within our students — the confidence and ambition to pursue their passion while continuing to inspire those coming up behind them.
